Total Archery Challenge Reviews

I was excited about the event because it seemed well put together and looked like something I’d enjoy. But I expected the support side to be smoother than it was. I emailed about my registration and didn’t hear back for a few days, which was frustrating. When I finally got a response, it was a bit vague and didn’t fully clear things up. The event itself still seems promising, but the customer service felt slower than I expected.

The practice range at Total Archery Challenge was alright, nothing amazing. It was fine for getting warmed up before heading out on the course, but some of the targets looked beat up and the spacing felt tight once more people showed up. I also didn’t love how there wasn’t really any human contact or anyone around to check in, answer questions, or help keep things organized. It kind of felt like you were just left to figure it out. Overall, it worked for a quick warm-up, but I wish it was better maintained and had a little more oversight when it gets busy.

I was expecting a bit more from the food setup, but there really didn’t seem to be much there. Maybe I just caught it at a bad time, but the food and drinks felt limited.

I tried to register, but the site kept freezing on me and the whole process was confusing. I figured it would take a couple minutes, but nope, apparently that was too much to ask. I had to keep going back and retrying, and by the end I was just annoyed.

Overall, people were friendly and welcoming enough, but reading between the lines, you could tell a lot of folks already had their little circles. It wasn’t unfriendly at all, just a bit cliquey sometimes.

We went mainly to check out the vendor village, it was a letdown. A lot of the booths felt kind of thrown together, and the staff didn’t really seem to know much when we asked questions. Prices were all over the place too, which made it even more frustrating. We also didn’t get much help trying to find what we were looking for. Really not worth the time for us...

I liked the idea of it, but as someone new to archery, I felt a bit out of my depth. The info seemed scattered, and a lot of the courses felt like they were aimed at people who already had some experience. I’m careful about where I spend my time and money when I’m learning something new, and this just didn’t feel beginner-friendly enough for me...

Kind of a frustrating day. The schedule said one thing, then the start times kept changing and nobody really seemed to know what was happening. We got there early and still sat around way too long. Cool idea, but the timing was a mess

I was hoping the advanced challenge would be more fun or at least better put together, but it was sorta frustrating overall. For me, it just didn’t feel worth it.

I was a little confused by the gear rules and had to reach out for clarification. Support did eventually get back to me, but it took longer than I expected, and while I was waiting I kind of felt ignored. It would’ve been a much better experience if the rules were clearer upfront or if the response had come a bit sooner

We had a good time overall, but some parts felt a little too much for younger kids. The staff we did see were nice, but I was kind of annoyed by how little actual human contact there was when we needed help or had questions. It felt like everything was left up to signs or figuring it out yourself. I’d still say it can be fun for families, just plan ahead and know it may not be super kid friendly in every area.

The parking and shuttle setup was kind of a mess. It just felt unorganized and way more annoying than it needed to be

It’s a decent shirt, but it feels kind of thin. Not terrible or anything, just not quite the quality I was expecting.....

I had a couple questions before the event and it took a while to hear back. They did get back to me eventually, but for a bit I wasn’t totally sure what was going on or what to expect. Maybe I missed something somewhere, but I just felt a little in the dark. Hopefully everything goes smoothly on the actual day.

The shooting part was fun, and I did have a decent day overall. But the event itself felt kind of messy. Check-in took way longer than I expected, the signs weren’t super easy to follow, and a couple staff members gave different answers about the schedule. For the price, I was hoping it would be a little more organized. Not a terrible experience, just frustrating at times haha. I’m not totally sure I’d go again

Camping sounded fine in theory, but once I was actually there I kept thinking, “Why is everything so spread out?” It just wasn’t convenient if you’re trying to camp or find a place nearby to stay. After a long day, the last thing I wanted to deal with was setting everything up and figuring out logistics. I kept wishing it was just easier. I probably wouldn’t do it again unless they make staying close by way less of a hassle.

I really didn’t have a good time. It wasn’t fun, and the whole experience left me feeling like I had to beg for even the basic stuff that should’ve just been part of it. By the end, I was more annoyed than anything, it wasn’t memorable in a good way.

I went to the Total Archery Challenge and had a good time in some ways, but the bathroom situation was rough. There just weren’t nearly enough porta potties for the size of the crowd, so the lines started building up fast and never really seemed to let up.

By the middle of the day, a lot of them were in bad shape and some were already out of toilet paper. For what the event costs, you’d think the basics would be handled a little better. It definitely took some of the fun out of the day.
